HAWKEYES BOOKWORMS READING PROGRAM
Hawkeye’s BookWorms is the RedHawks reading program that runs from January to April each year. It is a four-week program that is integrated into each school by the teachers.
Each week of successful reading is rewarded with a prize from a BookWorm sponsor and at the conclusion of the program when the child has “hit a homerun” they receive a ticket to a RedHawks baseball game on any Saturday, Sunday or Monday during the season.
2010 will be the fifth year of the program and each year enrollment has increased and last year we gave out over 7,000 RedHawks tickets! Enrollment forms are mailed out in November to schools with in an 80 mile radius of Fargo-Moorhead.
