The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks announce the re-signing of outfielder Devan Ahart to the 2018 roster. A native of Detroit, MI, Ahart was drafted out of the University of Akron (Ohio) by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 16th round of the 2014 MLB Amateur draft.
“We are excited to bring Devan back this summer,” said RedHawks Manager Michael Schlact. “He’s a fast, high energy guy who can run down baseballs in the outfield and is a threat both in the batter’s box and on the bases. Besides that, he’s a leader in the clubhouse and someone who exhibits all the qualities we want in someone wearing the RedHawks uniform.”
Last season with the RedHawks, Ahart batted .292, with 92 hits, 60 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 78 games. He was walked 31 times and posted an on base percentage of .355.
