RedHawks Re-Sign Almarante, Carter, & Solomon

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have re-signed a trio of players from the 2016 team to contracts for the upcoming season: RHP Jose Almarante, CF Kes Carter and LHP Will Solomon. The RedHawks now have 14 players under contract for the 2017 season.


Trio with RedHawks Ties to Compete in World Baseball Classic

Three players with Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks ties will compete for three different nations in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, which begins on March 6. RHP Tyler Herron (2012, 2015-16) will compete for Team Israel; INF Yurendell de Caster (2009) will play for Netherlands, and RHP Justin Erasmus (2014) will be in uniform for Australia.


RedHawks Re-Sign Battery of Alexander, Valerio

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have re-signed LHP Tyler Alexander and C Charlie Valerio to contract for the 2017 season, the club announced. Both players will be in their third seasons in Fargo-Moorhead.


De La Cruz's Return Highlights Signings, Trades

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have re-signed All-Star OF Keury De La Cruz, LHP Will Mathis and RHP Dylan Mouzakes and signed recently acquired 1B Rene Leveret to contracts for the 2017 season. The club also made a pair of trades in acquiring RHP Jose Nivar and INF J.D. Pulfer from the Laredo Lemurs for RHP Colton Reavis and C Ryan Wagner and INF Tyler Urps from the Lincoln Saltdogs for future considerations.

Pineda's Return Tops RedHawks Roster Moves

Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Manager Doug Simunic has begun construction of the 2017 roster with a series of recent transactions. The RedHawks have agreed to terms with 2B Ryan Pineda; signed RHP Richie Tate, RHP Tyler Greene and RHP Dimitri Kourtis; acquired 1B Rene Leveret from the Lincoln Saltdogs for future considerations; and released RHP Roman Madrid, RHP Patrick Mincey and RHP Brett Zawacki.


Geiger's Contract Purchased by Marlins

FARGO, ND – The contract of Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 1B Dustin Geiger has been purchased by the Miami Marlins. Geiger is the third player from the 2016 season to have his contract picked up by a Major League organization and sixth player in the calendar year to have a contract purchased.

RedHawks Announce 2017 Schedule

The RedHawks will open the season on a ten-game swing through Texas. Opening Day will be on May 18 as Fargo-Moorhead faces the Grand Prairie AirHogs in Grand Prairie, TX. After four games with the AirHogs, the RedHawks will face the newest member of the American Association, the Cleburne RailRoaders, for three games before heading south for three games with the Laredo Lemurs.


De La Cruz, Mazzola Named League All-Stars

FARGO, ND – Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks OF Keury De La Cruz and 3B Josh Mazzola have been named to the American Association Postseason All-Star Team, the league office announced just before the season ended. The team was selected in a vote by the league’s field managers and media members.


RedHawks Split Season-Ending Double-Header

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes (58-42) claimed the American Association wild card on Monday afternoon, splitting a double header with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in front of a standing room only crowd of 7,787 at Shaw Park.


Winnipeg Wins Rain Shortened Game

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes (57-42) beat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 8-6 at Shaw Park on Saturday evening.


Goldeyes End RedHawks Playoff Hopes

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes (56-41) beat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 16-6 at Shaw Park on Friday night.


Late Offensive Spurt Wins Final Home Game of Regular Season

After going the first five innings without a single hit, it appeared as if the RedHawks' offense wasn't going to show up. However they scored runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to take a 4-3 win over Kansas City on Thursday. This game was the last regular season game played at Newman Outdoor Field.
