FARGO, ND (8/29/17) --- The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks lost 7-1 to the Lincoln Saltdogs Tuesday night, putting them in a tie with Kansas City atop the wild card standings.
Tyler Stirewalt got the start for the RedHawks. The righty gave up five on seven hits and two walks in five innings of work before turning the ball to Tyler Thompson who gave up two in four innings of mop up duty.
The Saltdogs’ scoring started with Juan Martinez two-run homerun in the top of the third and they never looked back, adding one more in the frame as well as two in the sixth and one in both the eighth and ninth.
Lincoln’s starter, Bennett Parry, capitalized on the scoring, tossing eight scoreless innings while allowing just four hits.
The RedHawks scored their lone run in the bottom of the ninth when Chris Grayson, who tripled to start the inning, scored on a wild pitch.
