REDHAWKS SIGN JENNINGS, RELEASE BRITTON
FARGO, N.D. – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed C Todd Jennings and released C Phil Britton. Jennings will be in uniform tonight as the RedHawks continue a four-game series against the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Newman Outdoor Field.
Jennings, 29, began this season with the Rockland (NY) Boulders of the Can-Am League. He batted .266 with three doubles, one triple, 11 RBI and six runs scored in 22 games. A former second round draft pick of the San Francisco Giants in 2003, Jennings reached the Triple-A level in 2007 and 2008 with the Fresno Grizzlies.
Britton batted .283 with 12 doubles, four home runs, 28 RBI and 18 runs scored in 42 games for Fargo-Moorhead this season.
