The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed veteran OF Aharon Eggleston to a contract. Eggleston is the second player signed by the RedHawks for the 2012 season.
Eggleston, 30, spent the majority of the 2011 season with the Kansas City T-Bones before being traded to the St. Paul Saints for the stretch run. In 82 games with Kansas City, Eggleston batted .324 with 23 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 49 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He finished the season hitting .197 with two doubles, one triple, four RBIs and eight runs scored in 17 games for St. Paul.
Eggleston has been facing off against the RedHawks since beginning his professional career in 2005 with the Edmonton Cracker-Cats of the Northern League. In seven professional seasons, Eggleston has batted .313 with 129 doubles, 21 triples, 22 home runs 313 RBIs and 411 runs scored in 585 games.
Eggleston was a Northern League All-Star outfielder in 2008 and 2009 after leading the league in hits both seasons. He has played with Edmonton (2005-06), Kansas City (2007-2009, 2011), York (Atlantic League-2009), Winnipeg (2010) and St. Paul (2011).
