FARGO, ND --- The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks dropped the the first game of their series with Wichita by a score of 15-2 on Friday night at Newman Outdoor Field. The Wingnuts improved to 10-5 on the season, while Fargo-Moorhead fell to 11-4.
It was a short night for last week’s pitcher of the week, Dylan Mouzakes (2-1). The righty pitched 2.2 innings before being pulled. The RedHawks used 6 pitchers, including third baseman Josh Mazzola who pitched a scoreless inning of relief in the ninth. Wingnuts starter Tyler Kane (2-1) pitched 7.0 innings and picked up his second win of the season.
The Wingnuts pounded out 18 hits on the night, including five extra base hits. Fargo-Moorhead’s Mitch Delfino was the only RedHawks player with more than one hit, as he was 2-for-4 with a solo home run.
Whats next?: The RedHawks continue their series with Wichita tomorrow night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
