FARGO, ND --- The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks lost 6-5 to the Kansas City T-Bones in an 11 inning battle Tuesday night.
T-Bones’ starter, Chris Perry, struggled giving up three runs to the RedHawks in the first two innings before surrendering a hit. Fargo Moorhead would add two more in the third to take a 5-2 lead, including one that came on an unearned run by KD Kang who tripled and advance home on a throwing error by Tyler Horan.
RedHawks’ starter, Zach Prendergast was pulled from the game in the top of the sixth after giving up two singles to leadoff the inning. Kansas City would later tie the game in the inning when Leonardo Rojas cleared the bases with a three-RBI double off of Tyler Thompson.
Jose Almarante finished the inning and would go on to retire the thirteen batters before giving up a single in the top of the 11th to Jerome Pena who scored when Rojas doubled in the next at bat to pick up his fifth RBI of the game.
Chris Grayson tripled with one out in the next frame with one out but was left stranded; giving Myles Smith his first save of the season.
