FARGO, ND (8/25/17) --- The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks won 11-2 Friday night against the St. Paul Saints in what interim manager Michael Schaect dubbed a complete team performance.
The heart of the lineup was beating for the RedHawks all game long with the 2-4 hitters; Yhoxian Medina, Chris Grayson, and Josh Mazzola going a combined 8-14 at the dish with two HRs and 7 RBIs.
With a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, Medina got the party started with two-run double to the left field gap to bring the lead to three.
Jeff Malm lasted just 4.1 innings for the Saints surrendering four runs on six hits.
Tyler Herron turned in another strong performance, giving up just two runs while striking out nine in seven innings of work. Anthony Pacillo would follow, giving up one in the eighth before pitching a scoreless ninth.
Mazzola brought the game to 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth driving in Medina with a bomb to left field. The veteran third baseman wasn’t done as he cracked a double in the seventh to drive in two more.
Grayson hit a solo shot in the eighth to cap the scoring for the game.
