After blowing a one-run lead in the seventh and final inning of the first game of a doubleheader on Thursday night, the RedHawks found themselves in a similar spot in the nightcap. Leading 4-0 heading into the sixth inning, F-M gave up two runs in the sixth and one run in the seventh inning before closing out a 4-3 win to move back above .500 at 16-15.
Reese Gregory threw 5.1 innings in his first start for the RedHawks, giving up two runs on four hits for his first win of the year. Andrew Woeck came in to set up and Randy McCurry got his ninth save of the season.
Leo Pina had a double for the RedHawks while Brennan Metzger, Devan Ahart, and Tim Colwell had RBIs for Fargo-Moorhead.
The RedHawks begin a six-game homestand tomorrow night with the first of three games against the Wichita Wingnuts at Newman Outdoor Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:02 PM on Friday night.
