Eric Campbell, Casey Hoorelbeke Named To All-Indy Team Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 3B Eric Campbell and RHP Casey Hoorelbeke have been named to the Baseball America All-Independent Leagues First Team, the magazine announced. Both players were key contributors as the RedHawks won their second consecutive Northern League Championship in 2010.
Campbell, 25, batted .311 with 19 doubles, 22 home runs, 80 RBIs and 72 runs scored in 85 games for the RedHawks in 2010. Campbell was second in the Northern League in on-base percentage (.421), third in slugging percentage (.593) and fourth in RBI. The former Atlanta Braves prospect also finished second among league third basemen in fielding percentage (.962) and committed just eight errors in 83 games.
Hoorelbeke, 30, was 10-5 with a 1.84 ERA in 52 relief appearances for Fargo-Moorhead in 2010. He pitched 83.0 innings and allowed 27 runs (17 earned) on 56 hits with 75 strikeouts and 31 walks. Hoorelbeke led the Northern League in ERA and appearances and tied for fifth in wins. Hoorelbeke previous played in the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets organizations, as well as in the Atlantic League.
