Jino Gonzalez dazzled for seven innings as the Saltdogs blanked Fargo-Moorhead 5-0 for the second straight night to pull above .500 at Haymarket Park Thursday night.
Gonzalez (4-0) pitched seven innings, allowing just two hits while striking out a season-high eight to earn the victory. The RedHawks had base runners in just two innings on the night.
Joe Ramos and Jeff Howell each contributed with solo home runs, to lead off the third and fourth, respectively.
Saltdogs pitching allowed just one run over the final 31 innings of the series, and the defense did not commit an error during the four-game set.
Trevor Longfellow (0-1) allowed three runs on five hits in 2 2/3 innings in his professional debut.
Garrett Sherrill tossed two perfect frames in relief to end the contest.
