2012 Promotions Schedule



FARGO, N.D. – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have filled the team’s second season in the American Association with a packed Promotions Schedule.

The RedHawks 2012 Home Opener will be Friday May 25th vs. the Sioux Falls Pheasants at 7:02 p.m. to kick off a three-game series.  Opening Night will also be the first Fireworks Night of the season thanks to Sanford Health.  The opening series against the Pheasants will have the traditional Magnetic Schedule giveaway from BANK of the WEST on Saturday with a 6:00 start time, and finish up Sunday afternoon. 


Starting with the Home Opener, the RedHawks will host five of the popular Post-Game Fireworks Shows in 2012.  Fireworks are scheduled for the nights of: May 25, June 29, July7, August 3, and August 31 (Fan Appreciation Night).  These fireworks shows have become “can’t-miss” events in Fargo-Moorhead area during the summer.


There will be three Thursday afternoon Business Day Games in 2012, each with 12:30 p.m. starts.  Fargo-Moorhead will host the Lincoln Saltdogs on Thursday, June 28 (sponsored by Budweiser), the Sioux Falls Pheasants on Thursday, July 26 (sponsored by HealthSource) and the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Thursday, August 16Following each Business Day Game, their will be a free concert in the Budweiser Beer Garden courtesy of The Network Center


The RedHawks have planned numerous Premium Giveaways throughout the season.  Premium Giveaways scheduled for this summer are:

  • Magnetic Schedules on May 26 (All Fans, sponsored by Bank of the WEST)
  • Posters on June 5 (sponsored by Forum Communications Printing)
  • RedHawks Hacky Sacks on June 7 (First 1,000 Fans, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND)
  • Superhero Capes on June 19 (First 500 kids, sponsored by State Bank & Trust)
  • Mustaches on June 20 (First 2,000 to help raise awareness for prostate cancer sponsored by The Hotel Donaldson)
  • Fleece Blankets on June 27 (First 1,000 Fans, sponsored by Otter Tail Power Company)
  • Team Photos on July 8 (All Fans, courtesy of our Knothole Gang sponsors)
  • Baseball Caps on July 10 (First 1,500 Fans, sponsored by Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine)
  • Pennants on July 15 (First 1,000 Fans, sponsored by Pepsi)
  • Mini-Bats on July 25 (First 1,000 Fans, sponsored by Cass County Farm Bureau)
  • Baseball Card Sets on August 17 (First 2,000 Fans)
  • Backpacks on August 18 (First 1,000 Fans age 17 and under, sponsored by Cloverdale Meats)
  • “Bobblection” Presidential Candidate Bobbleheads on August 28 (500 of each candidate, sponsored by The Hub)


A pair of nationally touring entertainment acts will be making their first appearances at Newman Outdoor Field in 2012.  The Inflatamaniacs ( will entertain the fans on June 26 as the RedHawks take on Lincoln.  The Sweet Right Brothers ( will make their RedHawks debut on July 14 when the defending American Association Champion Grand Prairie AirHogs are in town.


In addition to individual game promotions, the RedHawks are bringing back all their popular Weekly Promotions in 2012.  The Weekly Promotions are:


  • Dollar Dog Night:  $1.00 Cloverdale hot dogs all game
  • SunMart Ticket Giveaway:  Bring in your Sunmart receipt of $25 or more and get a pair of General Admission tickets FREE


  • Kids Eat Free: FREE Cloverdale Kid’s Meal to the first 500 kids
  • SunMart Ticket Giveaway:  Bring in your Sunmart receipt of $25 or more and get a pair of General Admission tickets FREE


  • College Night: Show your valid College ID for a $3 General Admission ticket sponsored by the North Dakota Air National Guard.
  • Dog Days of Summer: The F-M Humane Society will bring out dogs available for adoption each Tuesday thanks to NutriSource
  • Post-Game Autograph Party:  All RedHawks players will sign autographs down the 3rd base line after the game


  • Post-Game Concerts: Stay after the game on Thursdays and enjoy a live band thanks to The Network Center.


  • “Launch A Ball” with Moorhead Center Mall: Purchase balls during the game and throw them on the field after for a chance to win prizes courtesy of Moorhead Center Mall.  Proceeds benefit the Miracle Field.
  • Budweiser Beer Garden Party:  Pre-game sampling in the Budweiser Beer Garden courtesy of Anheuser Busch & D-S Beverages


  • Kids Run The Bases:  All kids 12 and under welcome to run the bases after the game
  • SunMart Ticket Giveaway:  Bring in your Sunmart receipt of $25 or more and get a pair of General Admission tickets FREE


“Our staff has been working hard all off-season to craft another great promotions schedule,” said General Manager Josh Buchholz.  “We’ve kept a lot of fan-favorites, but added some new giveaways and entertainment acts that should make for a great summer of entertainment at the ballpark.”
