RedHawks Will Play Winnipeg First Round![]() REDHAWKS TO FACE WINNIPEG IN PLAYOFFS
FARGO, ND – A week after clinching the American Association North Division title, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks now know their first round playoff opponent.
The RedHawks will face the Winnipeg Goldeyes in the best-of-five series starting Wednesday night at 7:02 p.m. at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo. Game 2 will be Thursday night at 7:02 in Fargo. The series will shift to Shaw Park in Winnipeg for Game 3 on Friday night. Game 4 and Game 5 (both if necessary), will be played at Shaw Park at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Winnipeg advanced to the playoffs by winning the Wild Card.
The 2012 playoff series marks the tenth time the RedHawks and Goldeyes have faced off in a playoff series since 1996, and first since 2009. Fargo-Moorhead has advanced past Winnipeg on six of those occasions, winning series in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2009. The Goldeyes beat the RedHawks in 1997, 1999 and 2001.
Tickets for games at Newman Outdoor Field are available online at www.fmredhawks.com or can be purchased at the RedHawks Ticket Office on Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Phone orders will also be taken again starting Monday morning.

EGGLESTON ACTIVATED FROM DISABLED LIST
FARGO, ND – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have activated OF Aharon Eggleston from the disabled list. Eggleston is eligible to play starting with today’s 1:30 game against the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Shaw Park in Winnipeg.
Eggleston has been on the disabled list since June 24 after suffering a severe leg injury. The veteran outfielder was batting .274 with five doubles, one triple, two home runs, 13 RBI and 24 runs scrored in 36 games for the RedHawks. |
