FARGO — Southwest Minnesota State product Chase McDaniel went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice and a walk in his professional debut Friday night as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks dropped an 8-1 decision to the Milwaukee Milkmen.

The Pahrump, Nevada, native was signed earlier Friday and played second base for Fargo-Moorhead.

Three Milkmen runs in the first inning set the home team back early, with the RedHawks plating their lone run of the game in the fourth inning on an RBI single from Jake Hjelle.

Milwaukee starter Shane Barringer got the win, with Fargo-Moorhead starter Orlando Rodriguez earning the loss.

The RedHawks-Milkmen series will continue on Saturday evening from the friendly confines of Newman Outdoor Field. First pitch is slated for 7:02 p.m.
